What's a Horseshoe Sandwich?

This was something I asked myself as I was flipping past one of the food shows on the Travel Channel. Is it kind of shoe that I can use famous footwear coupons at dropdowndeals with? In fact I think it's the longest I've ever watched the travel channel. So it has bread, some sort of meat like a hamburger, or fried chicken. It can use eggs or hashbrowns. The cool part is that there are French fries on top of it instead of another piece of bread, and then it's drowned in cheese sauce. Also if you want a smaller bite apparently it's called a “Pony Shoe". It started in Springfield, Illinois. Has anyone heard of this sandwich before?
