How Was the Liberty Bell Cracked?

This was something that I'd never though of until an episode of “Kate plus 8”. It was just one of those things that always was. However, Kate kept announcing that it had cracked because it had been rung so hard.

Ever doubtful, I just had to do the research, I always research everything so much that I'd probably spend my time better with a medical assistance program. Turns out that Kate was right, well maybe. Many accounts all collaborate that the large crack it has now happened in the 19th century. One account says it cracked when rung for Chief Justice John Marshall's death, while another one says it was in celebration of George Washington’s birthday. I guess no one really knows why or when, but in a way its imperfection is what made it famous.
