How Random Knowledge Can Help You in the Everyday World

Sometimes I wonder if my pursuit of odd trivia facts is really worth it. Sure, it came in handy in lsat prep courses and I always won those Jeopardy like games in elementary school. Now, I wonder if it's still applicable just because I seem like the person at parties with all of the weird factoids. Of course then I try not to be that person because let's face it that person is just annoying. However, I can really see how it helped me get through school, get into college, and get good grades in school. Even now it helps me in my career and just in life in general because I have a basic understanding of a lot of different situations. So even though sometimes it just feels like I'm filling up my head with clutter and stuff it really does pay off.
