Lately about 30% of my waking time has been dominated by one question, week after week. Why does Kirstie Alley have lemurs? I even watched the Marriage Ref when she was on it as well as the Big Life show just because this really seems to bother me. I get that they are a cool animal but when someone asks "What do you want for a pet?" or "What is a favorite animal" who really applies with lemur? Plus, when she was cleaning out the cage on a recent episode they'd just kind of leap at her and it looked scary.
I've even read that it costs her $40,000 a year to keep them and she has two zookeepers. Don't get me wrong it's nice that she's giving people careers. I get that she can probably afford it. I just can't help but wonder why? Why of all the exotic pets out there does she choose lemurs?
