The First Day of Spring 2010
I rarely pay attention to when the first day of a season is. I live in Utah so it just gets confusing. It might snow in July and then I'll be wishing for jobs in Philadelphia or California. I don't mind extreme weather conditions as long as they make sense. We have a saying here "If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes". Apparently the first day of spring this year is March 20th. I wish it was today because all of a sudden there were flowers blooming out of nowhere. It felt like spring. By the time that March 20th rolls around it will probably be snowing again. How about where you live? Do the seasons coordinate with the calendar or not?

I live in India. Out here it's always hot. Or damp. And sometimes hot AND damp. I'm joking - this winter actually feels like winter. I used my shawl for the first time this year ;)
But the weather NEVER co-ordinates with the calendar. I rely mostly on how swollen my grandmum's ankles are for weather changes (Like Babette in Gilmore Girls). The ankles never lie.
