What I Didn't Learn About Canada During the Olympics

I really didn't watch a lot of the Olympics. I usually just tune in for some random knowledge, pageantry, and heartfelt stories. Really nothing that actually revolves around sports. I was really hoping to actually learn something about Canada during these Olympics.

However, I really felt like they were playing up their stereotypes. Thank goodness for computers so I could actually look up interesting facts. Last night the closing ceremony was laughable. If I would have paid to be there I would have felt so ripped off. Nothing says Canada like a chorus line of hockey players and Mounties with a few beaver balloons floating overhead. It was just really disappointing. I would have rather that they did what other countries usually do during the Olympics: show off their heritage and teach about what everyday life is like there.
