While I was doing all of my research about lefties, I came across another interesting myth. I feel like Angela Lansbury. Are lefties really more likely to end up in a luxury home? According to wikipedia the genes that determine whether you are left handed also are responsible for the language parts of the brain. I've often heard that south paws are more artistic.
Pregnant women over the age of 40 are 128% more likely to have a left handed child. Lefties also have the advantage in hand to hand combat because of surprise. They found that left handed men made 15%-26% more than right handed men. Rockefellar, Benjamin Franklin, Dick Van Dyke, Truman & Beethoven were all left handed. Most of the time, I'm having a good day if I can tell which of my hands is left. However, does any of this prove that lefties are smarter? Don't ask me, I'm just right handed.
