I actually don't know if this is the 27th conversation stopper, but it seemed like a good number, much better than say 5. Anyways, this is a surefire way to get out of an uncomfortable conversation.
I had a very wise college professor who said, "When your friends try to talk politics with you, tell them they are right & then buy them lunch". I love to argue & discuss, but any discussion of politics makes me nervous. Yes, sometimes you have to have conversations to figure out what you think & stand up for what you believe in. These "discussions" (by discussions I mean fights) never end well between friends. We always seem to end up fighting, even if we are on the same side.
It's a pretty safe bet that to lighten the mood you can just say, "I think (insert politician's name here), has a big fat head). Actually, that should worked. It worked on "Gilmore Girls" after all, but I've never had any luck with it. Doesn't stop me from trying though. Do you think that there are certain places that conversations shouldn't go?

In my experience, I haven't really found any politician whose name WOULDN'T be appropriate in your fat-head blank sentence. They all suck on some level. And that's coming from a hopeless Pollyanna, by the way.
