Random Decorating Facts

I see chalkboard paint on so many random things on Pinterest. The most practical is either on a kitchen cupboard or on a kitchen wall. I would use it for household tasks or to remind myself of washer repair or phone numbers. Every pin and decorating show says basically the same thing. "You can write a menu or a grocery list on it". However, most of us have things on grocery lists that just aren't going to look great up on a wall. However, how do you actually take this to the store? Do you write it down again, or take a picture with your iphone? Sure, kitchen chalkboards are great for menus, but not shopping lists.
