There Are No Words

I am a writer. I am a reader. Words have a lot to do with my life. However, when I was having car trouble for the first time last week I realized that there really are some things that there aren't any words for. Car noises are one of those. I had always sworn that I wouldn't become one of those people who try to mimic whatever sound the car was making but it was impossible to get the point across without it. I tried "You know those funny noises that people always make when trying to mimic their car. It sounds like one of those", but that didn’t work either.
