I found myself wondering this just because I got a new keyboard. The keys are spaced out a little more than I’m used to and this really seems to be throwing me off in a big way. The same thing happened to me when I tried to play guitar; my hands must be smaller than average.

Almost all of my words end up missing the letter a. Of course, now to me at least the letter A certainly feels like it’s the most common one around. However, according to Wikipedia the most common letter in the English language is e, and it’s on a bunch of other websites too. Even the letter t appears in more words than the letter a. It’s a pretty good chart to study if you’re ever going to be on the Wheel Of Fortune.
