I have an ongoing debate with basically anyone who is not from the Southwest about what a scone is. They say it looks like this which as far as I can tell is a biscuit with fruit in it:
However, in Utah if you order a scone you will get this in all of its deep fried goodness. Granted, you can also call it fry bread, but you won't end up with a biscuit if you order a scone.
What do scones look like where you are from?
