Weird Halloween Facts

Another traditional Halloween food that really surprised me is something called the soul cake. I had never heard of this before so if anyone else has please let me know. I guess it's from Britain. Herein lays the origins of trick or treating. It was done as a practice to feed the poor and was supposed to mimic the freeing of one soul from purgatory for every cake eaten. So I guess if you were really vigilant you would eat a ton. I just find the name really disturbing; like I want to go hide under cabin beds. Plus it reminds me of that one time that Bart Simpson sold his soul.
