Sure, there are always the words that sound strange right from the start. Then there are the words that you say everyday and never think about. Then one day, like today in my case, I was just writing and looking at a word and thought "That really is the weirdest word". I had missed the s on always. Then I realized that at least according to my spell checker alway is not a word. It's like the dictionary read testosterone booster reviews.
It's the only word that I could think of that didn't have a singular version. I did look it up and see that the history of the spelling according to dictionary.com is alwayes, alleweyes, and alles weis. Just don't say alway.
