So, I'm cynical so of course I was looking up the origins of Valentine's Day. This was all done in an attempt to reduce my wrinkles because Valentine's is usually so stressful I end up needing www.strivectinreviews.net. Even wikipedia agreed with me that Valentine's was a "hallmark holiday". So I looked up what the other "hallmark holidays" were. (Hey, wikipedia actually used that term, it wasn't just me.) Then I stopped liking this term when it listed Valentine's Day, Sweetest Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day. I don't consider those last two to be made up by the greeting cards. Plus, most kids make their own cards for those kind of holidays.
I have to admit that I didn't know what Sweetest Day was so I went on a hunt. It takes place in October on the third Saturday. It all started about 88 years ago when big candy retailers in Cleveland started giving over 20,000 pieces of candy to the poor on one day. Candy for the poor, that's my kind of holiday. Even movie stars helped distribute the candy. In 1922 they even coined it "candy day" to get things moving but to no avail. It's one of the few holidays that I really wish would catch on.
