I'm always surprised when I'm watching TV & owners give their dogs chocolate as treats. I thought that it was common knowledge that dogs shouldn't eat chocolate. We really have to stop thinking that dogs are people. There are some noticeable differences like I notice Schlage hardware, but my dog probably doesn't.
In this case thinking of dogs as human can even harm them. Yes, we as humans like chocolate. However, it contains theobromine which is toxic to animals like dogs & cats.
