Who thoughts of this?

There are some things that I just know my future kids, or grandkids will make fun of. One of these is the idea of a no carb diet. Who looked at the food pyramid & thought, hm let's just cut off the bottom of that. Yes, you might lose weight, but there's no way that it can be good for your heart.

Besides the fact that most people I know who have tried this haven't actually read the books. I think most of the books say to just eat high protein for awhile, but the dieters just stay in that stage. Granted, I'm a little prejudiced. I'd much rather have a piece of bread than five pieces of bacon. I know we all want to lose weight while eating donuts & maybe some people do need a diet patch but the food pyramid is there for a reason!

I once paid a "nutritionist" something close to $400 for 2 consultations. She ended up printing off a sheet that listed the off limits foods for the anti-candida diet and then told me to go buy a $30 diet book but I only needed to read the appendixes. I paid her $400 to print something off the internet that I could have found and to tell me to go BUY a diet book?

Then there's my friend who went severely anemic doing a "vegetarian" diet. But she hates beans and brown rice. And doesn't like tofu. And didn't like most any other non-meat protein source. When I asked what she was eating? Salads. Cracked me up. I love American dieting.
