I have never cooked a lobster. This has a lot to do with the fact that I can't afford lobster, & I don't cook. Good seafood in Utah is generally hard to find, because it's Utah. I also find shellfish to be a lot of work to crack & eat for very little pay off. I'm usually so tired by the time that dinner is over that I feel like I need seat lifts. Also, I don't find the bibs attractive, & that shell bucket in the middle of the table grosses me out. So, I like shellfish, but there's just too many issues there for me. It's high maintenance food & I just can't make the commitment.
I've never picked a lobster out of a tank. I just find it creepy & it makes me think of the Little Mermaid. Granted, when I eat vegetables I sometimes picture them as the talking Veggie Tales. According to a recent study, both crabs & lobsters might feel pain. I don't know the ramifications of this because again I don't cook, but it seems like lobsters are cooked alive. I'm so glad I can't afford fancy food.

I've never picked out a lobster from a tank either. Can you imagine being one of those 4H kids who eats their pig?!
