Crocodile Tears

I was reading in the newspaper about one of those guys who's in court for ruining people's lives by being greedy. There's so many of them now that's it's hard to keep track of everyone's name. I'm all for cheap credit card processing & affordable mortgages & retirement plans. There's plenty of money to be made but everyone just wanted everything now. Anyways the newspaper said he was crying "crocodile tears" I had to stop & think if this was a saying that I should be familiar with. I went over to wikipedia & found out that:

• Crocodiles really can cry.

• Shakespeare used an expression close to crocodile tears.

• Legend has it that crocodiles lure their prey by crying. Note to self: If I ever see a sobbing crocodile, don't go ask it what is wrong.
