Faux Trees vs. Real Christmas Trees

This seems to be an issue that people are just as polarized on as politics. No one ever says "Oh, either one is fine". I live in Southern Utah and didn’t want to get a green tree because it would seem so out of place. We don’t even have trees outside so why would I have one inside the house? Instead I decided if I was going to get an artificial tree it would obviously be fake since they all look that way anyways. I wanted my tree to do something that any real tree couldn't: sparkle. I opted for a gold metallic tree that I got at Kohl’s a few years ago. It's inexpensive and it's easy to set up but it doesn't have that "real pine scent". I thought that I would be sick of it by now but I love it more than any other tree that I've had. What is your vote, faux tree or real tree?
