I thought that this answer was going to be pretty simple. They even talk about it on Project Runway. Some designers tried it this season in the pet store challenge. I would've rather have tried to make a dress out of pool fencing.

Anyways ombre is one of my favorite techniques in clothes, decor, nail polish and even hair color. However, when I looked it up to get an exact definition I found out it's actually a card game from the 17th century. Ok when it comes to fashion it's basically when it fades from one colors to the next, such as a shirt that starts out white and ends up navy at the bottom. It's more subtle than tie dye and one of my favorite things.
