I really found this holiday Odd News story particularly odd. Apparently a 55ft tall Santa was scaring kids in New Zealand. So the obvious choice was to give it a $100,000 face lift. I guess that's what happens when a statue from the 1960s that can wink starts getting old. They should've gotten a term life insurance quote for that Santa years ago.
What really confuses me is the photo that accompanies this article. They were doing a surprise unveiling of the new supposedly less creepy Santa. So they just wrapped his head up in bandages until it was time for the ceremony. Ok what is more disturbing? A bandaged Santa or a droopy eye?
