If you forgot Mother's day

Ok, I'm not going to say, "Shame on you", because I didn't think about it until a few weeks ago. I've never forgotten Mother's Day, but I know people who have. It's not that you don't love your mom, it's just that you were busy building an empire. Plus, it's not an easy holiday to remember because it falls on a different day every year. So if you need to think of Mother's Day gift ideas in a pinch try:

  • Picking flowers. Granted, it's not as cute if you are a grown up, or if the flowers are from her garden.
  • Cook her breakfast, & lunch & dinner & wash all the dishes.
  • Pamper her, make sure she doesn't lift a finger.
  • Put together a scrapbook of your favorite memories.
  • Make her a card. This works even if you are a grown up.
  • Take her shopping. This also means you can spend quality time together.

I didn't forget my mom OR my birth-mom. Or my mother-in-law even though I'm almost divorced. My boys totally spoiled me yesterday. I am honestly the luckiest mom in the whole world that has ever given birth to my two boys (how's that for non offensive?).
