If I'm honest, I'm only 5'4. However, people usually think that I'm 5'8"+. I don't wear high heels. I just act tall. This had me wondering who was the world's tallest person?According to wikipedia it's Robert Wadlow February 22, 1918 – July 15, 1940 who was 8'11" tall & from Alton Illinois. Also known as the Alton Giant. His height was thought to be caused by a problem with his pituitary gland which meant he had abnormal levels of human growth hormone. He was still growing up until the time he died.

I'm 5'3" - 5'4" when I just wake up. 8'11" sounds just painful.
