Valentine's Day Random Facts

I'll be honest, I wanted the blog title to look like Valentine's Day Random Rants Facts, but I couldn't make it work. So just pretend that the blog titles looks like that. Ok, moving on. I was reading at wikipedia that the U.S. Greeting Card Association estimates that 85% of all valentines are bought by women. First off, I was shocked that there is a U.S. Greeting Card Association, but I guess we can't leave the important things like greeting cards to chance.

This can either mean that:

Boys are really as lame as I thought.

OR

Women are buying valentine's for themselves & their friends.

I actually buy myself a present every year, whether I'm in a relationship or not. I don't spend a lot of money on it, I usually buy a pair of sterling earrings or a new sweater. Valentine's seems to be about showing everyone else how much you are loved by showing off whatever presents you got &/or making single people feel bad. Of course, I don't put up with that & it also means that I know I'll get a present that I'll like.

I think women tend to do unto others as they would hope others might possibly have the brains to think of doing for them. But alas, men do unto others only if they really really have to.

Valentines this year - I am ignoring it.

hmmm...giving yourself a gift for Valentine's Day. I think it's a great idea...especially if your single.

If you love chocolate or sweets or just want to give themselves a little something special, check out http//www.mydovechocolate.com
They are having an "Expression of Love" contest where you can describe the most creative way to say "I Love You". The winner gets a 5.58 cts "Baby's Breath Diamond Necklace"

A great way to do this is by sending yourself some chocolates for Valentine's day. You can order customized chocolates with special sayings on them.

I work for My Dove, so I have the inside scoop.
