Chain Letter Hoax

I've been feeling guilty about this ever since I was eight years old. This was back before the internet & youtube videos with 100 comments on them that said if you don't say the alphabet backwards right now something bad will happen to you. Granted I love the internet because it's so easy to find anything you need whether it's a psoriasis treatment or jewelry, but I just hate chain letters.

I received a chain letter in the mail when I was eight years old. It said that this letter has gone all over the world & has been in existence for 100 years & was very close to breaking the Guinness World Record. I had to send it to 5 people. I didn't do that & always worried that I had broken (not broken?) a world record. Wikipedia gave me this happy news today:
"Guinness World Records does not accept any records relating to chain letters, sent by post or e-mail. If you receive a letter or an e-mail, which may promise to publish the names of all those who send it on, please destroy it, it is a hoax. No matter if it says that Guinness World Records and the postal service are involved, they are not."

I usually purposefully break the chain just to prove to the idiot who sent it to me that California will NOT fall into the ocean, my liver will NOT drop out of my armpit, my dog will NOT spontaneously combust or whatever. I have a deep hatred for those things. And I have knocked a few people off my cyber connections for sending them.

I'm glad to know I didn't ruin any World Records.

You are the bomb. If you don't immediately inform everyone in your email address book of this fact, your nose hair will grow into 4 foot dreds while you sleep tonight.
