I've never seen the movie Poltergeist, but I have heard of the Poltergeist curse. The Poltergeist curse has been blamed for everything from deaths, to fires, to how one of the actresses always finds pictures askew in her home, no matter how many times she straightens them.
It was a pretty safe bet that if you worked in, on, or around those movies, you wanted to have good life insurance, or life insurance for kids. I won't elaborate, because it creeps me out. I saw on "Tv Myths & Legends" that the curse is attributed to the fact that instead of having fake dummies made for the scary swimming pool scene, they used real human skeletons. It was just so gross that after my mummy post, I had to write it. I must be gearing up for Halloween, the way that stores start decorating for holidays months in advance. My next post is going to be something happy, like random facts about butterflies. Now, I'll never speak of it again.

I saw the movie in highschool. It was forbidden material in my extreme fundamentalist republican parent home. So when my parents were away one weekend, I went to see it. And it totally freaked me out. Too plausible for me. Call me crazy but that little psychic who's describing the evil presence that's in the other world with their little girl? Gick! Still gives me the willies.
As for the curse, I don't believe in them. Not the curse of the Bambino (Red Sox fans, get OVER it!). Not the curse of the Poltergeist movie.
