The Internet Doesn't Have the Answer
I was opening the fridge and noticed that the handle was cool. This is not normal. The freezer seal wasn't tight so I rearranged everything and closed it again. Then I was like "Yeah I'm so independent. I fixed it, I rock". A few minutes later I went back to the fridge and the handle was still cool. Apparently every time I open the fridge the freezer flies open a tiny bit. I think I've got it fixed now but this begs the question just how much would it cost to have the freezer open all month? I don't really want to find out, it's wasteful and probably expensive but surely someone somewhere has the answer, I've looked everywhere.

Leaving the freezer open all the time would run the compressor continuously. The cost would depend on the efficiency of your refrigerator and the price of electricity in your area.
The net result of this would be that the room would become warmer, not colder, by the way. Unlike with an air conditioner that has an outdoor unit to dissipate heat, the heat removed by a refrigerator or freezer is discharged into the room.
Doing this would be a bad idea.
