Hot Dog Eating Contest

I try to not watch footage of the famous Nathan's hot dog eating contest on Coney island. Basically, people try to eat as many hot dogs as possible in 10 minutes. The competition used to be 12 minutes long but was changed a few years ago when they discovered that in 1910 they only had 10 minutes.

They don't use buns or mustard & sometimes dip the hot dogs in water. This year Joey Chestnut beat the 129 lbs. Japanese legend Kobayashi. Joey ate 64 hot dogs, after they both tied at 59 & had to have a tiebreaker.

I love this quote that was given by Dr. Marc Siegel who is a professor at the New York University School of Medicine.

One is bad for you, five's worse and 50 is terrible.

Wow, I'm so glad we have medicine to tell us that. I could have learned more from a playstation 3.
