As someone who lives in Utah it's difficult to describe the majesty of Zion's National Park. Even when you look at pictures like this:
Sure, it looks like that, but it's thousands of feet high. My favorite thing about the park is that it's bright red and orange. I've never been much for geology I just know that somethings are pretty and some things aren't. One of the tour guides was giving us a folksy geology lesson. He said that the rocks weren't actually red. The sandstone is white and gray but it's been stained red over time. I can't imagine having to try and scrub it off.
