More words that confuse me

Stephen Colbert was just talking about how we need a word czar. He brought up the point that flammable & inflammable means the same thing. My first reaction was to laugh because Stephen Colbert is just funny. Then I had an aha moment. Really inflammable should mean that something is difficult to set on fire.

According to Dictionary.com:

Inflammable: capable of being set on fire; combustible; flammable.

Flammable: easily set on fire; combustible; inflammable.

Stephen is both funny & right.

The flammable/inflammable thing has always bugged me. I'd personally like to be a language czar.
